  1. Use this slider to specify how long a disk must remain unused before it should be put to sleep.

  3. If you need to enter a delay that is beyond the slider‚Äôs range, option-click on the slider and then type in the value you want.

  5. You must turn on disk sleep before you can modify its delay setting.
  6.  
  7. This menu shows all the SCSI and IDE buses present in your computer.

  9. Select each bus and then turn on disk sleep for the drives on that bus by clicking the checkboxes to the right.

  11. You must turn on ‚ÄúSpin down disks when inactive‚Äù before it makes sense to use this menu.

  13. Click here to turn on disk sleep for this drive.

  15. You cannot put this device to sleep.

  17. This may be because there is no device at this address, the device is not a hard disk, or you have disk sleep turned off.
